What does 49 CFR 385.411 (State-issued safety permit) require?

Based on 49 CFR 385.411, a motor carrier must still comply with all the requirements of this subpart even if it holds a State-issued safety permit.
However, if FMCSA verifies that your State-issued safety permit comes from a program FMCSA has determined to be equivalent, FMCSA will immediately issue you a federal safety permit once you submit an application under § 385.405T, without requiring any further inspection or investigation.
